I'm a father a brother a sister or a friend you knew
I gave my life my honor my best protecting you

We're called soldiers...men...women and guardians by many
Protecting your rights and freedoms from enemy

I see friends and brothers who died by my side
Giving all with love of country...their lasting pride

Is this sand in my eyes that's making me tear
Or is it losing someone..my buddy I fear

I have blood on my hands and sand in my eyes
The wounded soldier with his painful cry's

Don't let me die in the sand covered space
Make sure I get home.... To my resting place

I live in North Carolina and enjoy it's beauty. I enjoy art as a hobby. I like water colors...pastels..clay...pen and ink..as well as some abstracts.
I've been doing artwork for many years but you can never be too judgemental of your art and others. Look at the skill of each artist and you will pick up on many expressed talents.
